The noted social activist Anna Hazare has started his three day hunger strike in Mumbai, demanding a stronger Lokpal Bill than the one being debated in the Indian Lok Sabha. Anna reached Juhu beach around 11 AM and did some meditations in front of the bronze statue of Mahatma Gandhi.
As per the reports Gujarat’s Additional DGP PP Pandey faces arrest on the breach of law during fake encounter. The Supreme Court invalidated the statement giving any security and protection issued against him by CBI court.
The Election Commission of India has announced the date of elections in the five states of India. These states are expected to go to the polls during the months of April and May. The five states which are going to the polls include West Bengal, Tamilnadu, Assam, Poducherry and Kerala.
