Percentage of Long Distant Relationships Is Increasing In The USA

A report published by Centre for Study of Long Distance Relationships show that around 4-5% of the marriages held in USA are long distant ones. This means around 5 million marriages in the USA becomes a long distant one. These long distant marriages have arisen due to several reasons. First, job transfer is considered to be the most important cause. Secondly, more and more women are entering into the workforce and making a full time carrier. In fact many romantic relationships at the college level are turning out to be long distant ones as one of the partners is going to another college to pursue higher studies. Adding this figure will take the percentage count to a much higher level.

As cost of living is going up with every passing days, it is becoming necessary that both men and women must go to work in order to earn a healthy living. When both started doing carrier on a professional approach, things may so happen that either of the partners may have to go to another place for the purpose of getting transferred or availing a better paying job.

Thus the concept of long distant relationship is becoming increasingly important in the American and European society. Maintaining good long distant relationship is now becoming very important in the society as it will help to balance your social life and professional life to a great extent.
