Bryan Adams, Sonu Nigam to Perform in World Cup Opening Ceremony 2011

As the biggest international event of cricket is round the corner, Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh readies for the World Cup Opening Ceremony 2011. The opening ceremony will be held at the Bangabandhu stadium in Dhaka.

The World Cup Opening Ceremony 2011 will attract the entire audience of the cricketing world as internationally renowned singer Bryan Adams, Indian music legends Shankar, Eshan, Loy and Sonu Nigam will perform. Well known Bangladeshi singer Runa Laila will also perform on stage.

The city of Dhaka is all set to get the attractions of the cricketing world as the biggest event of cricket returns to the subcontinent after a span of 15 years. The subcontinent got the flavor of hosting the event in 1987 when India and Pakistan hosted them jointly. Then again, it was again held in 1996 when Sri Lanka joined the duo.

The matches will begin on day after tomorrow when Bangladesh will clash with co-hosts India at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. There will be 43 days of action in 13 venues spread across three countries. The finals will be held on April 2 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
