Greg Merson Has Won World Series of Poker

This year World Series of Poker main event was won by Greg Merson, a 24  years old Maryland resident and playing the game of poker is his full time profession. The event lasted for quite a long time and continued for about 12 hours via a marathon card session to push back the opponent in the game for moving forward to bag the $8.53 million title of the year.

The winning stroke was played by Greg Merson in the very early hours of Wednesday, 31st Oct, 2012. The event was held at Los Vegas. The organizers and other members present during this event were overwhelmed to watch out the skill displayed by Greg Merson and also on the unpredictable result of the day. He played really well against his opponent Sylvia, who bagged the second position in the tournament. Sylvia won the prize money of $5.3 million. It was a last minute win for Greg Merson.
