Zappos Hack May Affect 24 Million Customers

It has been revealed by the Zappos authorities that the database of their online customers has been hacked and it has lead to the licking out of credit card, billing and address information of their online customers.

Zappos is a leading online clothing and shoes retail chain having a huge customer base all across the world. In their official blog, the company authorities have announced that personal information of around 24 million customers has been hacked.

Zappos authorities said that the hacking was done on a Kentucky data center and the servers containing the credit card and billing information have got unaffected. Anticipating huge hue and cry from the customers, the Zappos authorities have decided to shut down all their phone lines and instead depend on email communication while responding to customer’s queries.

The company has lodged a complaint with the law enforcement agency and has asked for a detailed investigation into the matter. Company has asked all their customers to change their password immediately, so that all their information stored with the company remains safe.
