The movie Agneepath is in the news not just for its remake but also for showing trailers of forthcoming movies like Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu with Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor as the leading couple,  Talaash with Aamir Khan, Agent Vinod and Tezz being promoted by Saif Ali Khan and Venus.

Agneepath is a long awaited movie thanks to introductory promos and music.  Showing of trailers is a losing on finance proposition but it stands to gain in other ways.

The timing of the release of movies simultaneously or progressively is based on well chalked out strategy worked out between the film maker and marketing department. Agneepath release follows the principle of big bang theory of visibility to the maximum eyeballs at one time.   Come January 26 as a stretched out week-end the film theaters will see the release of five movies one of them being Karan Johar’s Agneepath with renowned cast of Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra.
